Elizabeth Knibbs
Liz founded Island Pilates in 2013 and has created a successful business with a loyal clientele.
Liz started Pilates when suffering from lower back pain and could not believe how it literally changed her life for the better. She wanted to help other people achieve a greater sense of wellbeing in their lives, so decided to become an instructor. Since 2019 Liz has enjoyed working part time in a Physiotherapy clinic using the Power Pilates method to help patients with their rehabilitation and prevention of injuries.
Liz is a fully qualified comprehensive apparatus instructor following a 9-month Power Pilates training course in Florida, in 2011. She can offer Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced sessions, utilizing the Mat, Tower, Reformer and Magic Circle, incorporating the principles of Pilates Exercises based on the teachings of Joseph Pilates.
Reformer & Tower Sessions
Using the PeakPilates total workout system, with reformer and tower, Liz is able to offer enhanced Pilates sessions in the Rendezvous studio.
Home or Villa Sessions
Using tailored techniques and exercises on the Mat, Liz can deliver a full workout in the comfort of your own home or villa (or on the beach patio!).
Virtual Online Sessions

TRX Sessions

I began working with Liz after realizing my life long history of running was slowly coming to an end thanks to my hips and knees not cooperating anymore. I didn’t believe her that TRX would not give me the same problems, but she was right. I loved the strength element of TRX mixed with cardio.

I first started Pilates sessions with Liz around 5 years ago, I have attended group sessions in a studio and private sessions in person and via Zoom. Undoubtedly during this time my core strength has improved dramatically thus reducing the number of times I suffer with back issues.
